The funds that BI has committed to CPPR research are pooled with those of the other member companies.  The funds support rigorous academic research into industrially relevant pharmaceutical processing research at the CPPR academic sites, with mentorship from representatives from CPPR companies.

Professor Raman Bahal from UConn received the Moderna Award for Biomedical Innovation from the RNA Society for his contributions to delivering RNA to target cells for cancer therapy.  The award was given at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Scotland in early June.
