We look forward to AbbVie’s participation in our quest to advance pharmaceutical processing. The funds that AbbVie has committed to CPPR research are pooled with those of the other member companies. The funds support rigorous academic research into industrially relevant pharmaceutical processing research at the CPPR academic sites, with mentorship from representatives from CPPR companies.

CPPR Faculty Receives School of Pharmacy Faculty Research Award
Dr. Raman Bahal, CPPR Faculty, is the 2025 recipient of the UConn School of Pharmacy Faculty Research Advising Award. He is a world leader in developing novel technologies at the nucleic acid chemistry and biology interface to target genomic DNA and RNA for treating diseases that are unavailable elsewhere. Over the past seven years, he has mentored 24 Pharm.D. and undergraduate students, demonstrating his commitment to shaping the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals.
