CPPR Semi-Annual Conference Held at University of Connecticut

Last week, the CPPR (Dane O. Kildsig) Center for Pharmaceutical Processing Research Semi-Annual Scientific Conference was held at University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Over 50 industry experts, faculty, and students gathered to share research proposals, current project updates, and final reports. The conference culminated with the industrial advisory board voting to fund several new projects.

CPPR Faculty Recipient of Innovation in Cancer Research Award

CPPR Faculty Dr. Raman Bahal was the recipient of the 2026 AAISCR-PR Vijayalaxmi Award for Innovation in Cancer Research. This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding research contributions in cancer diagnosis, prevention, or treatment. He was presented with the award at the American Association for Cancer Research conference in San Diego in April 2026. Congratulations, Dr. Bahal!

CPPR Faculty Diane Burgess Recognized for Manufacturing Technology

CPPR Faculty Dr. Diane Burgess and Dr. Antonio Costa were highlighted by the Association of Technology Managers for their efforts to enhance continuous manufacturing technology. Together they developed a continuous manufacturing platform purpose-built for nanoparticle-based medicines, with support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
