CPPR student, Shipra Malik, was awarded the 2022 Outstanding Student Researcher by the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology and Education. Shipra, a student at the University of Connecticut in Raman Bahal’s lab, joins previous CPPR students, Dana Moseson and Shreya Kulkarni, who won this award in 2019 and 2020.
On November 7-9, faculty, industrial scientists, students and guests met in person at Purdue University to discuss research proposals and ongoing research on innovations in pharmaceutical processing of small and large molecular therapeutics. Everyone was thrilled to view the students posters and hear the proposal presentations in person after 5 meetings and 2.5 years of meeting virtually!
CPPR student, Lauren Fontana, working in Robin Bogner’s lab at UConn, published her findings on “Evaluation of Raman Chemometric Method for Detecting Protein Structural Conformational Changes in Solution” in Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Robin Bogner, Professor of Pharmaceutics at University of Connecticut, has become chair of the review committee for drug delivery proposals at Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of American (PhRMA) Foundation. The committee recommends funding of proposals from senior graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty.
