A recent paper authored by Dr. Rui Fang, UConn graduate now at Merck, describing her CPPR project findings was one of eight selected from the 70 papers in the second quarter of Journal of Pharmaceutical Science to be available in its Virtual Issue: Most Original and Most Significant Scientific Findings. CPPR Faculty, @BodhiChaudhuri, and his research team report on the formulation parameters required for printability of tablets using inkjet processing. They suggest several preformulation studies to assure printability and tablet performance. The Board of Trustees of the University of Connecticut voted on April 29, 2020 to promote Kildsig CPPR Faculty, Bodhi Chaudhuri, to Full Professor effective August 23, 2020. Dr. Chaudhuri is best known for discrete element modeling (DEM) of many pharmaceutical processes. Recently, he has expanded his research group’s modeling expertise to modeling that couples DEM with computational fluid dynamics modeling, and artificial neural networks.
Ms. Shipra Malik, graduate student in Prof. Raman Bahal’s lab, was selected for a travel award to the RNA Society meeting by the UConn RNA Salon https://www.rnasociety.org/current-rna-salons.
Professor Bodhi Chaudhuri and his team published their findings of charge transfer in pharmaceutical mixtures as they are mixed in a V-blender in the May 2020 issue of JPharmSci.
“Amorphous solid dispersions containing residual crystallinity: Influence of seed properties and polymer adsorption on dissolution performance,” was just accepted for publication by European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
