The Board of Trustees of the University of Connecticut voted on April 29, 2020 to promote Kildsig CPPR Faculty, Bodhi Chaudhuri, to Full Professor effective August 23, 2020. Dr. Chaudhuri is best known for discrete element modeling (DEM) of many pharmaceutical processes. Recently, he has expanded his research group’s modeling expertise to modeling that couples DEM with computational fluid dynamics modeling, and artificial neural networks.
CPPR Student, Shipra Malik, Wins UConn RNA Salon Travel Award
Ms. Shipra Malik, graduate student in Prof. Raman Bahal’s lab, was selected for a travel award to the RNA Society meeting by the UConn RNA Salon https://www.rnasociety.org/current-rna-salons.

Professor Bodhi Chaudhuri and his team published their findings of charge transfer in pharmaceutical mixtures as they are mixed in a V-blender in the May 2020 issue of JPharmSci.

CPPR faculty, Professor Tonglei Li, from Purdue University named Editor-in Chief for Pharmaceutical Research
The journal is pleased to announce Dr. Tonglei Li has been named the new Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutical Research, effective July 1, 2020. Dr. Li is Allen Chao Chair and Professor of Pharmaceutics in the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University. Apart from his work in solid-state pharmaceutical materials and drug delivery, Dr. Li is an American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Fellow, and has served as an Editor with Pharmaceutical Research since 2015.
ZHOU RECEIVES THE 2019 EMERGING SCIENTIST AWARD FROM THE AEROSOL SOCIETY

Koyel Sen, graduate student in the lab of Dr. Bodhi Chaudhuri at UConn, was awarded one of 4 travelships by the Particle Technology Forum of the American Institute for Chemical Engineers at the 2019 AIChE annual meeting and sponsored by Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics.
