CPPR faculty, Professor Tonglei Li, from Purdue University named Editor-in Chief for Pharmaceutical Research
The journal is pleased to announce Dr. Tonglei Li has been named the new Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutical Research, effective July 1, 2020. Dr. Li is Allen Chao Chair and Professor of Pharmaceutics in the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University. Apart from his work in solid-state pharmaceutical materials and drug delivery, Dr. Li is an American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Fellow, and has served as an Editor with Pharmaceutical Research since 2015.
ZHOU RECEIVES 2019 EMERGING SCIENTIST AWARD FROM AEROSOL SOCIETY
Dr. Tony Zhou, Assistant Professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy, from Purdue University is the recipient of the Emerging Scientist Award from The Aerosol Society in UK.
This award recognizes significant scientific accomplishment or innovation during the early stages of an individual’s career in inhalation science.
CPPR Student, Koyel Sen, Receives AIChE Particle Technology Forum Travel Grant
Koyel Sen, graduate student in the lab of Dr. Bodhi Chaudhuri at UConn, was awarded one of 4 travelships by the Particle Technology Forum of the American Institute for Chemical Engineers at the 2019 AIChE annual meeting and sponsored by Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics.

CPPR Faculty, Dr. Raman Bahal, Fighting Pediatric Cancer with Funding by St. Baldrick’s Foundation
Dr. Raman Bahal (UConn) recently received a grant to intensify his research to combat Burkett’s Lymphoma, the fastest growing cancer in humans. Read more about Dr. Bahal’s research and Jack Klein, the boy from Indianapolis after whom the grant was named.

The award was presented by CPPR Faculty, Dr. Diane Burgess (right), who serves on the IPEC Americas Board of Directors.

CPPR Student Wei-Chung Luo was awarded best poster for his CPPR project “Impact of Lyoprotectants and Freeze-Drying Process on Stability of Nanocarriers” at the 2019 East Coast Meeting of the International Society of Lyophilization – Freeze Drying (ISLFD) on September 17th, 2019, held at MedImmune, Gaithersburg, MD.
